About the Role

Performs labor-intensive duties including material handling, chipping, grinding, leak testing, hanging and removing parts from the paint line, and packing parts. May assist operators in various production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from baskets, tubs, pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
• Delivers metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining or other processing.
• Lifts metal parts or stock onto machines and secures them on machine tables, in chucks, or holding fixtures to assist in setting up machines.
• Feeds metal parts or stock into automatic metalworking machines and removes machined parts after prescribed periods or machining cycles.
• Adds coolant to machine reservoirs and lubricates machine parts and ways.
• Reclaims cutting and lubricating oils by pumping oil from machine reservoirs, separating metal chips and dirt, and draining clean oil into containers.
• Removes metal chips and shavings from machine surfaces and wipes excess oil.
• Cleans work areas and separates metal shavings, chips, and scrap materials for resale.
• Removes burrs or excess metal from parts using hand tools.
• Stamps or etches part numbers on metal.
• Examines cleaned objects for conformance to standards and transfers them into shipping containers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Pay

15% shift premium for 1st and 2nd shifts.
