About the role
The Assistant Facility Coordinator assists the Facility Manager in managing all aspects of the 1972 facility, including preventative maintenance, health and safety compliance, and facility central services.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
- Conduct and document regular facility inspections.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
- Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal, and parking.
- Manage delivery schedules, quantity, and quality criteria.
- Plan and monitor appropriate facility management staffing levels.
- Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.
- Inspect building structure and determine if repairs are needed.
- Manage reservations and allocate facility space for maximum efficiency.
- Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy.
- Evaluate and adjust energy expenditures.
- Advise staff on reducing utility bills.
- Create and maintain vendor relationships.
- Perform facility equipment obsolescent planning, budgeting, and replacement.
- Manage staff requirements for all associates, counselors, and DSPs.
- Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
- Manage day-to-day activities of assigned locations including ensuring appropriate customer interaction, supervising closing reports, processing bank deposits, scheduling staff, supervising frontline staff, preparing reports, auditing shift reports, monitoring time cards, and hiring/training frontline staff.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Facility Coordinator.
Requirements
- Maintain reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of automobile liability coverage.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of business administration, recreational services, human resource management, electrical and mechanical systems, and computer systems.
- Strong communication, planning, organizational, negotiation, problem analysis, decision-making, judgment, customer service orientation, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
