1837 - Technical Project Manager - Active Secret Required with Security Clearance

About the role

Facilitate workshops with project managers, product owners, business stakeholders, and technical leads to decompose scope into well-defined work packages.

Lead the design and refinement of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and WBS dictionaries for IT projects based on business and technical requirements.

Own the design and integrity of the master IT project schedule in Microsoft Project Server and continuously improve scheduling practices, templates, and guidelines based on lessons learned and industry standards.

Develop comprehensive project plans, manage risks/issues, oversee change control, and ensure delivery against scope, schedule, and quality objectives for selected complex IT projects.

Coordinate cross-functional teams (business, development, infrastructure, security, operations, vendors) to drive execution.

Use advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, advanced data analysis) to interpret schedule and portfolio data and provide insights to leadership.

Proactively identify schedule risks and bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions and scenario options.

Requirements

• 8+ years of IT project management experience with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project Server, and project management best practices, capable of both leading complex IT projects and elevating the scheduling capability of a team of project managers.
• Experience in analyzing program/project status and providing documentation to support project/program.
• Experience with ITSM based services.

Certification(s)

• PMP
• ITIL Foundations (can be achieved within 3 months of start date)

Security Clearance

• Active Secret Security Clearance

Education

• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an Information Technology.
• Allowable Substitution: 6 years of related experience or 4 years of related experience with an AA/AS degree.
