166978 Clinical Professor of Innovative Technologies for Acute Cardiovascular Disease (fixed-term 5 years)
Job Description
The University seeks to appoint a clinical professor of Innovative Technologies for Acute Cardiovascular Disease to commence as soon as possible. The externally funded professorship is combined with a consultancy at Copenhagen University Hospital - Herlev and Gentofte, Department of Cardiology in the Capital Region. It is a requirement for appointment that the applicant is accepted for both the professorship and the consultancy.
Responsibilities
- Research, including publication/academic dissemination
- Research-based teaching, including associated examination
- Research-based teaching activities involving teaching Ph.D. Candidates, medical students and healthcare professionals
- Establishment of a research leadership position within Emergency Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease focusing on innovative technologies and precision medicine to mitigate disparities in healthcare
- Contribute to the specialty-focused course in Prehospital and Emergency Medicine and play an active role in the development of undergraduate education in Emergency Medicine
- Research leadership, including guidance and supervision of researchers
- Academic assessments
Required Qualifications
- High level of original scientific work at an international level within the area of Emergency Medicine
- Ability to manage research and other management functions, engage in the university’s external academic activities, and knowledge and technology transfer
- Ability to provide research-based teaching
- Good interpersonal and communicative skills
Terms of Employment
The position is a fixed-term position limited to a period of 5 years. Extension is possible if the employed candidate performs well in the position. For the professorship, the appointee will receive a pensionable annual honorarium of 219.882,33 DKK (1 August 2026 level). The position is covered by the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities 2025.
