12001 - Construction Inspector 3
Responsibilities
- Work interactively with various stakeholders to ensure work is within scope and meets minimum requirements.
- Perform quality assurance services as designated by the Construction Manager.
- Review RFIs, change order requests, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
- Recommend progress payments based on work completed and report on as-built documentation.
- Monitor schedules, quality control documentation, and contractor progress.
- Cover coordination and attendance at project meetings and monitoring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Facilitate communication and compliance with state and local agencies.
- Attend pre-bid site tours and construction kick-off meetings.
- Provide contractor personnel access to facilities and follow escorting procedures.
- Use the Construction Administration and Information System (CAIS) for contract correspondence.
- Complete and submit Daily Field Reports and other documentation to the COR.
- Inspect work for quality and conformance to contract requirements and document findings.
- Coordinate with the COR and contractor on field modifications and staffing levels for Quality Assurance.
- Facilitate discussions on stewardship and compliance prior to earth-disturbing activities.
Essential Skills
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Inspection technology (preferred).
- At least 10 years of experience in construction, with a focus on Building Construction, Building Inspection, and Site civil construction inspection.
- Knowledge of OSHA 1910.269 requirements and engineering sciences related to construction.
- Ability to use computer, camera, telephone, and BPA VHF radio in the field.
- Experience with safety standards, electrical principles, grounding principles, rigging, and load securement.
- Relevant coursework in drafting, mathematics, and construction technology.
- Knowledge of Site Civil Engineering Infrastructure Construction.
- Experience with construction practices in Site development, Transmission, Substation, Telecommunication, and Non-Electric Facilities.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $51.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
