About the Organization
Founded in 1963 during the Civil Rights Movement, SEO closes educational and career opportunity gaps for 7,000 ambitious young people annually. SEO Scholars is a free, eight-year, academic program that transforms public high school students in New York City, San Francisco, North Carolina, and Miami into college graduates. 100% of Scholars are accepted into four-year colleges, 85% graduate with a Bachelor’s degree, and 80% are first-generation college graduates.
About the Role
The 10th Grade Scholars Advisor will join the founding program team of the SEO Scholars Miami expansion site. The position will partner closely with peers locally and nationally to manage the advisement and performance of a cohort of 60-70 public high school sophomores. Through group facilitation, workshops, community circles, class observations, and 1-on-1 advising, you will help Scholars develop holistically—academically, socio-emotionally, and in college and career readiness.
