About the role
As an independent contractor, partnering with Sedgwick allows you to expand your portfolio and increase inspection volume by working with one of the most respected names in the industry. Sedgwick is currently seeking contractors with expertise in construction classifications (ISO Classes 1–6) and general liability, focusing on property and general liability coverage for a wide range of commercial risks, including retail and convenience stores, offices and professional buildings, churches and schools, restaurants, and apartment and condominium complexes. Work is available throughout the United States, typically within a 60‑mile radius.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site inspections of commercial properties.
- Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive reports that include exterior measurements and diagrams, photographs of the property, observations and recommendations, and a summary of current conditions and any visible hazards.
Requirements
- Expertise in construction classifications (ISO Classes 1–6).
- Experience with general liability inspections.
- Ability to produce detailed inspection reports.
Pay
Sedgwick processes payments weekly and pays inspectors per completed report based on client specifications, specialty, program, location, and other factors. The typical fee model is a flat rate per assignment, with most assignments averaging between $45 and $100.
