About the Role

This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of passionate technologists. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using Connected Car and emerging technologies. We are looking for an enthusiastic junior software developer to join our experienced connectivity service development team.

Your primary focus will be to learn the codebase, develop high-quality source code for systems supporting millions of on-road vehicles, perform issue/log analysis, and engage in QA activities.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the product and write technical documents.
  • Develop high-quality application programs to support project requirements.
  • Work on bug fixes and project tasks.
  • Perform unit testing of application modules.
  • Develop Proof of Concept (PoC) to explore the feasibility of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with the system analysis team to understand technical requirements and document them.
  • Conduct development tests and assist the QA team with technical use cases.
  • Support the development team with coordination and follow-up.
  • Monitor the technical performance of internal systems.
  • Respond to requests from the development team.
  • Support data analysis and reporting.
  • Work with multiple teams to complete assigned tasks.
  • Support production deployment (planned/incidents).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • A fast learner with the ability to quickly master new software and technologies with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in coding languages like Java 8 and C++.
  • 3+ years of experience developing REST web services using the Spring framework.
  • 3+ years of experience with database technologies, operating systems, and web/application servers.
  • Good knowledge of software frameworks.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with test processes and agile development methodologies.
  • Impeccable time management with the ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise interfacing with business stakeholders.
  • Working experience with a major consulting company.
  • Around 3+ years of software development experience/knowledge.
  • Understanding of server and client APIs and writing API test scripts.
  • Ability to root cause software failures.
  • Experience in developing predictive models, working with large datasets, and implementing AI solutions.

Pay

Salary range: $83,940 to $120,032
