About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Software Developer II to join the AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) Planning Tools team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing solutions that streamline sales planning and operational management at scale. Your work will directly contribute to defining and building the next-generation go-to-market platform for AWS sales teams, leveraging the latest AWS technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to innovate within the sales planning domain, creating applications that deliver critical capabilities to the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications with necessary customization
- Participate in requirements gathering, system analysis, and translating business needs into scalable solutions
- Support cross-system integrations within the Sales Planning domain to ensure seamless operation
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects for planned releases and production issues promptly
- Research and incorporate AWS best practices to enhance system productivity, scalability, and monitoring capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives
- Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to coding standards and security protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
- 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability
- Proficiency in at least one programming language used for software development
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field
- Experience with full software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, testing, and operations (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and dynamic environments
