Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and other personal care tasks.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, banking, community outings, and other activities.
• Administer medications, follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines.
• Participate in paid New Employee Orientation, CPR/First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP) trainings.
• Maintain certifications, comply with Agency policies, and follow all DDS regulations/policies.
• Safely evacuate individuals from the home in the event of an emergency.

Schedule

• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Full Time: 40 hours per week

Pay

• Pay rate: $17.50 – $19.00 per hour
• Paid training provided by Venture
• Sign-on bonus: $1,000 for Full Time and $500 for Part Time employees

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer, or school history).
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.
• Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and individuals supported, which may include holidays, overnights, or double-shifts.
