About the role
The Intensive Support Specialist provides outstanding person-centered intensive support services to a small caseload of adults with substance use treatment needs and severe and persistent mental health disorders. Services are comprehensive, integrated, and community-based, focusing on psychiatric treatment, social services, and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Regularly meet with individuals in their homes, community, hospitals, crisis units, criminal justice settings, and at Bluebonnet Trails' clinics to provide specialized case management and rehabilitative skills training services.
- Support the development and maintenance of effective, professional working relationships with stakeholders and other community service providers.
- Participate in frequent contacts to share updates on the recovery process of individuals in service.
- Receive unique and specialized training and professional development focused on services to a small caseload of individuals with complex needs.
- Utilize a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum number of hours equivalent to a major in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education/intervention.
- Experience in behavioral healthcare, intensive community treatment, and substance use, abuse, and dependency treatment.
- A valid Texas Driver's License and approved driving status throughout employment.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant field, 24 college credits in a Human Services field if degree is not in a Human Services field, previous experience in Assertive Community Treatment programs, behavioral health, and/or case management.
- Preferred qualifications: Previous experience with Assertive Community Treatment programs, advanced degree in Human Services field, provisional licenses (LCDC-I, LCSW-A, LMFT-A, LPC-A).

$46,196.00 - $65,436.00/year
Schedule
Flexible hours dependent upon the needs of the caseload. Option to work remotely for administrative tasks and/or when televideo video services are deemed appropriate by supervisor.
