Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures, including reporting unsafe conditions to management.
- Adhere to Barcel USA working guidelines, including the 5’s protocol for maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Maintain professionalism in a casual business office setting, primarily working around computers.
- Monitor production processes, set processing variables, observe control points and equipment, and manage personnel and resources to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Implement cost reductions, develop reporting procedures, and facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points.
- Foster cooperation within and between departments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA procedures and legislation.
- Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, setting priorities, monitoring progress, and resolving problems.
- Report results of processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
- Compile, initiate, sort, and analyze production performance records and data; respond to questions and requests.
- Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, and budgetary and personnel requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Resolve problems through data analysis, issue investigation, and solution identification.
- Generate daily KPI reports.
- Serve as backup for the WIP supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and quality standards such as SQF, FSMA, and HACCP.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Scheduler.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as scanners, printers, voice-mail systems, modems, fax machines, copy machines, and computers.
- Preferred experience in product activity control, finance, accounting analysis, material tracking, and manufacturing operations.
- Assertive, detail-oriented, and fluent in English.
- Ability to work independently.
