100% Travel Cable Technician
About the role
This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX, requiring 100% travel work, including weekends, with a high amount of overtime. Most technicians work 60+ hours a week.
Responsibilities
Technicians will be installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining network devices, including wireless access points, Cat6 cables, and switches. Experience with scissor lifts is also required.
Requirements
- Experience with access points and cabling, including Cat6e cabling
- Proven experience installing, troubleshooting, terminating, and punching down Cat6 cable
- Network device installation experience, including installing network cabinets and racks
Nice to Haves
- Punchdown experience
- Wireless access point experience
- Low voltage experience
- Cable installation experience
- Cable puller experience
- Structured cabling experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, and vision, critical illness, accident, and hospital insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short and long-term disability, health spending account, transportation benefits, and time off/leave.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Houston, TX, with a company vehicle and gas card provided, as well as per diem for food and lodging.
