About the Role

Arts4Schools is seeking passionate volunteers, professionals, artists, community leaders, and supporters to join our 10th Anniversary Festival Planning Committee. This committee will help plan our biggest celebration yet, honoring a decade of transforming lives through the arts while raising funds to ensure our mission continues for years to come. Whether you have a few hours each month or would like to take a leadership role, there is a place for you.

Committee Opportunities

  • Festival Director: Provides overall leadership, coordinates committee meetings, oversees timelines, and ensures all committee teams work together successfully.
  • Venue & Logistics Team: Researches and secures the festival location, coordinates site visits, assists with room layouts, parking, accessibility, vendor placement, signage, equipment, permits, and day-of-event logistics.
  • Corporate Sponsorship Team: Builds relationships with businesses, foundations, and community partners, secures sponsorships, in-kind donations, and develops long-term partnerships.
  • Fundraising & Auction Team: Plans fundraising activities, secures silent and live auction donations, coordinates raffles (where permitted), manages donor recognition, and helps maximize fundraising opportunities during the event.
  • Vendor & Artist Relations Team: Recruits artists, artisans, authors, cultural organizations, exhibitors, and marketplace vendors while coordinating booth assignments and participant communications.
  • Entertainment & Programming Team: Schedules performances, coordinates performers, speakers, demonstrations, workshops, cultural presentations, and develops the festival program.
  • Community Outreach Team: Reconnects with former students, families, alumni, teaching artists, schools, educators, principals, PTOs, volunteers, board members, and community organizations to invite them to participate and attend.
  • Marketing & Public Relations Team: Promotes the festival through newspapers, television, radio, podcasts, community calendars, newsletters, blogs, and community organizations while helping increase public awareness.
  • Digital Marketing & Social Media Team: Creates engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and email campaigns. Assists with graphics, videos, photography, livestreaming, and online engagement before, during, and after the festival.
  • Volunteer Coordination Team: Recruits, trains, schedules, and supports volunteers while ensuring every area of the festival is fully staffed.
  • Hospitality Team: Coordinates guest services, VIP reception, speaker hospitality, volunteer refreshments, registration, information tables, and ensures every guest feels welcomed.
  • Decorations & Experience Team: Designs the atmosphere of the festival, including decorations, signage, centerpieces, displays, photo opportunities, children's activities, and interactive experiences.
  • Government & Community Relations Team: Builds relationships with elected officials, civic organizations, chambers of commerce, tourism offices, colleges, universities, and community leaders while securing proclamations and community support.
  • Finance & Budget Team: Tracks expenses, sponsorship income, vendor payments, auction proceeds, ticket sales, and assists with financial reporting and accountability.
  • Grant & Resource Development Team: Identifies grants, community funding opportunities, donated materials, equipment loans, printing, supplies, and other resources that reduce festival expenses.
  • Media & Storytelling Team: Collects testimonials, interviews alumni, captures photos and videos, documents the festival, and preserves the stories of Arts4Schools' impact over the past ten years.
  • Safety & Operations Team: Works with venue staff, security, emergency services, and volunteers to ensure a safe, organized, and family-friendly environment.
