10-335-Sanitation 3rd Shift-Specialist, Sanitation (Manufacturing)

About the role

The role is responsible for ensuring equipment and facility sanitary specifications are attained. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Occasionally, the employee may need to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The work environment includes regular exposure to extreme cold, frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, and occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as assigned by the Department Supervisor, which may include detailed cleaning of the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas including break rooms and bathrooms.
• Conduct post-operation cleaning of the facility.
• Complete detailed cleaning assignments as directed.
• Ensure sanitary specifications of equipment and facility are met.
• Understand and apply proper use of cleaning chemicals and procedures to work efficiently and effectively.
• Work collaboratively with other employees in the Sanitation and Production departments.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Adapt to varying job assignments and working conditions.
• Follow plant rules, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and clean equipment criteria.
• Perform any other duties as needed.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
• Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Basic arithmetic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
