1 shift Material Handler/Driver

About the role

As part of the talented Distribution team, you will report directly to the Distribution Manager. This position significantly contributes to Navico Group’s manufacturing and distribution departments and plays a vital role in achieving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Complete on-site certification for the use and operation of stand-up, deep reach, and sit-down Hilo equipment.
• Safely transport material within the facility using stand-up, deep reach, and sit-down Hilo equipment.
• Assign stock to storage locations, including bays/bins, bulk storage, and storage trailers.
• Perform driver tasks such as order picking, storing/put away, replenishment, vendor picking, and production picking.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
• Pick and palletize inventory by SKU numbers, piece quantity, and/or location.
• Fulfill and load customer orders accurately and timely.
• Ensure orders meet customer routing and compliance guides by labeling and arranging product per specifications.
• Use warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, order picking carts, communication radios, order pickers, and sit-down Hilo.
• Prepare outbound shipments by identifying proper carriers, gathering weights and dimensions, and placing PRO tracking numbers on pallets.
• Work safely under OSHA and company guidelines to prevent injury to yourself and others.
• Adhere to documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality work for customers.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to operate a stand-up, deep reach, and sit-down Hilo.
• Ability to perform RF gun transactions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Positive attitude and resilience; adapts constructively to pressure, setbacks, challenges, and change.
• Works cooperatively and collaboratively within a group and individually.
• Approaches others tactfully and treats everyone respectfully, regardless of status or position.

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic math skills.
• 6 months of experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior stand-up/deep reach Hilo experience.
• Familiarity with RF gun technology or related technologies.
• Prior sit-down Hilo and/or Order Picker experience.
• Comprehension of order flow throughout warehouse operations.

Schedule

Standard shift operates Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM. Occasional to frequent daily/weekend overtime based on seasonal and business needs.

Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per shift in a continuously fluid and fast-paced environment. Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently. Must follow proper lifting techniques while prioritizing safety.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this position is $21.80 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
