1:1 Paraeducator at Central Elementary School
Position Information
The Special Education Paraeducator provides direct support to students with disabilities in various educational settings, ensuring they have the necessary assistance to succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. Working under the supervision of a certified special education teacher, the paraprofessional assists with classroom instruction, behavioral management, and individualized student needs.

- Average student count: Approximately 4,800 students in grades preK-8
- Schools: 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 early learning center, and 1 year-round, K-8 school

Compensation Information
- Starting salary: $19.10 per hour including fully paid individual health benefits
- Salary increase for those with 3 years of experience as a paraeducator or who hold a Bachelors degree: $20.10 per hour

Selection Procedure
All applications will be reviewed and qualified applicants will be recommended for further interview consideration. After interviews are completed, the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources will make a recommendation to the Board of Education via the Superintendent.
