1:1 Direct Support Professional (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities

• Working one-on-one with a client assisting with their specific behavioral needs
• Providing continuous and high-quality attention, interaction, and engagement in activities
• Helping client reduce challenging behaviors (physical aggression) by teaching appropriate replacement behaviors
• Implementing behavioral procedures for preventing and responding to challenging behaviors
• Observing, documenting, and reporting data on daily activities

Requirements

• Must successfully pass criminal background check
• Must be able to remain calm in escalated situations
• Must have the physical strength necessary to assist this client during challenging behaviors
• Must have the ability to safely and confidently intervene during challenging behaviors
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Entry-level qualifications
• Preferred qualifications: Experience working with clients with disruptive or aggressive behaviors
