1.0 Probationary Earth Science Teacher -Casey MS

Valid NYS Certification in Earth Science 7-12 required.

• Willingness to work as a member of a cooperative team
• Willingness to work cooperatively with special education teachers
• Experience incorporating differentiated instruction in lesson/unit planning
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral
• Effective interpersonal skills with students, faculty, support staff, and parents
• Knowledge of Next Generation Science Standards/Performance Indicators and ability to plan lessons for Regents-level courses
• Exceptional, effective classroom management skills
• Knowledge of technology and its application in the classroom
• Proven ability to effectively organize
• Proficiency in modifying curriculum to meet the needs of special education students and advanced learners
• Ability to reflect and contemplate on one's teaching to allow for growth and excellence

Preferred Characteristics

• Willingness to contribute within and outside the department (e.g., advisor, chaperone, club)

Pay

Annual salary: $47,200 - $53,700 per WTA contract.
