About the role

Oversee and perform a variety of simple to complex roadway maintenance activities. Supervise a crew and provide technical guidance to crew members performing maintenance activities and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Communication: Effectively communicate with citizens, public officials, state employees and business people demonstrating sensitivity for their opinions and suggestions. Respond with accurate and complete information to inquiries and requests. Communicate effectively, courteously, and professionally with customers. Provide customers with information related to the status of their work requests as required. May require travel and work outside of the traditional district boundaries which may cause a temporary change to the work schedule.
• Emergency Operations: Supervise emergency operations to ensure the safe operation of roadways. Support emergency operations including storm damage repairs, clearing roadways of snow, ice and debris, accident clean-up,
