About the role

Join Nilfisk, a leading UK supplier of industrial cleaning equipment, as a Field Service Engineer. You’ll work on customer sites across Leeds and Bradford, ensuring machines operate smoothly by completing repairs within contracted service-level agreements, performing Portable Appliance Tests (PAT), and carrying out scheduled planned maintenance. The role includes follow-up calls to install additional parts and real-time updates to job records.

You’ll be provided with a van, mobile phone, iPad, uniform, and full training. Support and collaboration are available through our Wolverhampton service centre.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all workplace procedures, including Health and Safety rules and technician protocols.
  • Repair and maintain industrial cleaning equipment at various customer sites.
  • Capture accurate client data and update jobs in real-time.
  • Provide detailed reports on every site visit.
  • Order parts via the central database and maintain van stock levels.
  • Uphold the company vehicle to an extremely high standard.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of industrial cleaning equipment and ability to troubleshoot and repair various machines.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, understand their needs, and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Problem-solving ability to analyse issues and develop effective, timely solutions.
  • Time-management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs and maintenance.
  • Adaptability to different work environments and equipment.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues.
