About the role
Real Heroes Work Here! CRi is a non-profit agency providing quality services to empower individuals with disabilities to live independently and with high quality of life. Our main office is in Chantilly, VA, serving the DMV area.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality skilled nursing care to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities living in their own homes according to physician’s orders and state/federal regulations.
- Supervise and train Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on the healthcare needs of the individuals.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in planning and service provision, and coordinate services with family members.
- Perform nursing assessments and emergency care as needed.
Requirements
- Be a Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia or a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Have at least two (2) years of current nursing experience.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
Other Qualifications
- Ability to perform nursing services for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated comprehensive nursing skills and proficiency in standard medical equipment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation and communication with families, community providers, and team members.
- Ability to stand, walk, run, and lift non-ambulatory individuals as part of the job.
