Job Location
The State of Missouri, Department of Mental Health at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center is looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor/Counselor-In Training to work in a high security setting.
About the role
Performs a variety of professional tasks including assessment, admission, client counseling, prognosis, placement, treatment, and/or discharge planning functions. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop treatment plans, discuss client progress, and implement possible changes in treatment strategy. Designs behavior modification programs for individual clients and monitors the implementation process; works with other staff members in implementing these programs; and answers questions for direct care staff concerning problem areas. May supervise counselors-in-training and other staff.

Requirements
- Possession of a current license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri.
- Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
