03149 Assistant Store Manager
About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing all store operations, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise and plan associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional client experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty in assigned stores. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and build a strong network of external candidates to fill positions. Identify strengths and opportunities for each associate and address them through coaching or counseling. Hold team accountable to Company policies and expectations. Maintain positive associate relations by resolving concerns and keeping associates informed of relevant Company information. Build strong relationships with Store Manager peers. Maintain consistent and timely communication with AM/DM. Foster an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
30% Operations: Ensure execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Utilize digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment (SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Manage inventory through ordering and shipment processing. Schedule appropriately based on business needs. Ensure correct store opening and closing procedures. Follow through on Company directives, assignments, and projects.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure the store environment is safe for associates and customers. Protect company assets by following inventory and cash control procedures related to shrink, damages, banking, etc. Analyze and utilize available reporting, tools, and technology. Ensure stores are compliant with HAZMAT training and execution.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
Effective communication with team and management
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
