03 - Production Technical Operator 3 (2nd Shift)
About the role
This position is part of the Production 3 team in the OPS - Operations functional area. The role is based in Richardson, TX and operates on a 2nd shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Performs manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products.
- In addition, performs machine and line setups, feeder repairs, and first line preventative maintenance.
Requirements
- Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow.
- In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications, and SMT processing systems.
- Ability to set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools.
- Ability to recognize and address problems in the assembly process or with assembly components.
- Effective communication skills with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high-quality production within tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, and Documentation control systems.
- Advanced manufacturing systems knowledge.
Qualifications
- Three to five years relevant experience.
- A high school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
