02079 Assistant Store Manager
About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and executing various operational tasks.
Responsibilities
Brings supervision and support to the direction planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional client experiences, maximizing sales/KPIs, and driving customer loyalty in assigned stores.
Maintains all brand standards including merchandising, POS guidelines, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc., and acts as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns.
Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands.
Engages, trains, and develops the team to achieve positive results, identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate, and addresses them through coaching or counseling.
Holds the team accountable to Company policies and expectations, maintains positive associate relations by resolving concerns and keeping associates informed of relevant Company information, and builds strong working relationships with Store Manager peers.
Maintains consistent and timely communication with the Store Manager, supports the Store Manager in managing inventory, scheduling, and ensuring store opening/closing procedures are performed correctly, and ensures timely and accurate follow-through with Company directives and assignments/projects.
Ensures the store environment is safe at all times for associates and customers, adheres to policies and procedures, analyzes and utilizes available reporting, tools, and technology, and ensures compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.
Requirements
A High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience.
Minimum 1+ year(s) of prior management experience.
Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
Effective communication skills with team and management.
Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.
