01070 Assistant Store Manager
About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing the team, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise and plan associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional customer experiences, aligning with both in-store and online sales goals. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POS guidelines, marketing, backrooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop the team to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identifying strengths and opportunities for growth. Hold the team accountable to company policies and expectations, fostering a positive work environment and maintaining open communication with the Store Manager.
30% Operations: Ensure the execution of all company processes, including training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Manage digital strategies through Omni-channel fulfillment, inventory management, and payroll scheduling. Follow company directives and ensure compliance with safety and loss prevention protocols.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Maintain a safe store environment for associates and customers, enforcing policies and procedures related to inventory, cash control, and HAZMAT training. Analyze and utilize available reporting and technology to ensure compliance and protect company assets.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
