TITLE

Hiring organization: ManpowerGroup Greece

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the technical operations of one of the most modern thermal plants in Greece. The company is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee all technical operations at the plant located in Ptolemaida.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement the strategy of the Technical Department
  • Monitor the operation of all technical systems
  • Manage and develop teams of Maintenance, Technical Support, and Mechanics
  • Plan and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance programs for the entire equipment of the plant
  • Manage the technical budget and propose cost-saving measures and energy efficiency improvements
  • Evaluate new technologies in thermal production (hydrogen systems, sensors, automation, energy solutions)
  • Ensure compliance with HSE/QSHE standards and food safety regulations
  • Manage technicians, external contractors, and service technicians
  • Issue technical specifications, procedures, and operating guidelines for the department
  • Provide tactical recommendations to Management regarding technician performance, work progress, and investment needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (HIG)
  • Experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing units, or high-tech thermal plants
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
  • Experience in budget management and technical contracts
  • Advanced understanding of HSE/QSHE standards and environmental protection
  • Excellent command of Greek and English
  • Proficiency in ERP and MS Office
  • Specialized knowledge in hydroelectric systems and high-tech thermal plants
  • Understanding of thermal system components
  • Ability to analyze production data and technical measurements
