About the Role
The Security Consultant evaluates business strategies and requirements to determine security architecture needs. Work assignments are varied, often requiring interpretation and independent decision-making. The role involves planning security systems by assessing network and security technologies, developing requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related devices, and designing PKIs, including CAs and digital signatures.
Understands organizational strategy and objectives, making decisions with minimal direction while following established guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an advanced Zscaler SME for both ZIA and ZPA, including policy building, operational, and troubleshooting analysis.
- Fully understand end-to-end operations and troubleshooting processes.
- Deploy and manage app connectors; familiarity with ZDX is beneficial.
- Evaluate network and security technologies to develop security requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and related devices.
- Design public key infrastructures (PKIs), including certification authorities (CAs), digital signatures, and related hardware/software.
- Adhere to industry standards while planning and implementing security systems.
- Interpret business strategies to define security architecture requirements.
- Work independently in ambiguous situations with minimal guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent.
Skills
- Advanced expertise in Zscaler (ZIA and ZPA), including policy building and troubleshooting.
- Experience with app connector deployments and ZDX.
- Knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and network security devices.
- Proficiency in designing PKIs, including CAs and digital signatures.
- Ability to evaluate and implement security technologies in alignment with industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous situations.

Pay
Salary range: $120,000–$140,000 per year.
