Position Overview
The Zone Team Leader (ZTL) is responsible for guiding and directing the operation of a specific zone within the retail sales floor of a store location. This role involves overseeing a team dedicated to merchandising and customer service, ensuring that all standards and company programs are met.
Responsibilities
- Execute established procedures for the assigned store zone, including merchandising, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets, and daily recovery.
- Ensure store standards, Ops Center compliance, seasonal transition planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet all operational expectations.
- Oversee the Door to Floor process to guarantee merchandise is planned and received correctly, and the sales floor is stocked promptly.
- Supervise associates within the assigned zone, providing daily tasks and ensuring productivity.
- Ensure customer service standards align with company expectations.
- Manage proper scheduling and staffing for effective merchandise unloading and processing.
- Communicate company directives and programs to store associates and ensure all follow-up items are completed accurately and timely.
- Perform necessary store opening and closing duties.
- Complete any additional responsibilities or duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least two years of retail supervisory experience in a mid-size to large retail or service-oriented business.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Sound judgment and ability to preserve confidentiality.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes.
- Effective communication and delegation skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Bending, twisting, gripping, reaching, pinching, squatting, kneeling, balancing, and climbing.
- Constant alertness and safe working conditions.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid state-issued license.
