About the Role
Join our team and live the Ollie-tude! The Zone Team Leader (ZTL) provides guidance and direction for the successful operation of a particular zone of the overall retail sales floor. The ZTL oversees a team passionate about merchandising and selling merchandise, ensuring an exceptional associate and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Successfully execute established procedures for their assigned store zone, including merchandising (power aisle compliance, MOS/GVC/Ollie’s Follies, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets) and daily recovery.
- Ensure store standards, Ops Center compliance, seasonal transition planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet all operational expectations.
- Oversee the Door to Floor process to ensure merchandise is planned for, received properly, and stocked on the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Supervise associates operating within the assigned zone, providing daily tasks and ensuring productivity.
- Ensure all customer service standards meet company expectations.
- Manage proper scheduling and staffing for effective unload/processing of merchandise to the sales floor.
- Communicate company directives and programs to store associates, ensuring follow-up items are completed accurately and timely.
- Perform all functions to open and close the store when needed.
- Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years’ retail experience in a supervisory role within a mid-size to large retail or service-oriented business.
- Ability to work on-site/in-person evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; exercise sound judgment; and preserve confidentiality of information.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks within strict timeframes.
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate information and delegate tasks, with outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and bend, twist, grip, reach, and pinch frequently.
- Ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid state-issued license.
