About the role
The Zone Lead (ZL) supports merchandising in designated zones and maintains an active selling culture by ensuring that all visual aspects are set and upheld to documented company standards designed to drive sales.
Responsibilities
- Supports all aspects of the visual merchandising processes for the store by planning, in conjunction with the Zone Manager, and leading the transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets while at the same time maintaining visual integrity, a neat/clean, organized environment, and inspiring guests to discover ideas and solutions through compelling visual merchandising.
- Supports Task Management by planning/executing the daily/weekly workload and assigned tasks as delegated by the Zone Manager to deliver on visual merchandising, department and store sales goals, guest engagement, etc., and ensures all tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Processes freight sorts, stocks product in designated areas, including down stocking and end cap maintenance while maintaining a neat, clean, organized zone.
- Serves as a role model and coach in all areas as it relates to visual merchandising experience and provides continuous learning opportunities to all.
- Leverages daily interactions to communicate and teach/train visual priorities and creation of visual moments that support the customer experience.
- Reviews the store's financial and business data from the store scorecard, including sales and expenses, and acts within assigned zones to improve metrics.
- Ensures the maintenance of a neat, clean, organized zone, ensuring the store is always up to date with current signing and sets.
Qualifications and Competencies
- At least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma/Equivalent.
- Background Check will be completed.
- Communicates clearly and concisely with excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs. as well as to move merchandise around the warehouse-format store routinely.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; stand or walk for prolonged periods of time; bend, climb, and reach at times.
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
- Strong attention to detail, e.g., standards, processes, marketing, etc.
- Reliable and trustworthy role model for ethical and honest behavior.
