Zero Trust Security Engineer -- 16720
Key Responsibilities
- Translate Zero Trust requirements into detailed firewall rule requests
- Submit and manage firewall changes with complete technical specifications (users, groups, apps, ports, protocols)
- Act as liaison between Zero Trust, IAM, firewall, and application teams
- Track requests end-to-end and resolve implementation issues
- Validate rules to ensure alignment with approved policies
- Perform post-implementation testing for authorized/unauthorized access
- Identify and fix misconfigurations or policy drift
- Maintain documentation for audit and compliance
Required Skills/Education
- 5–10 years of network security/firewall experience
- Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
- Strong knowledge of user-based and application-aware policies
- Experience managing firewall rule requests in enterprise environments
- Ability to validate implementations and troubleshoot issues
- Strong communication and cross-team coordination skills

We are seeking a Zero Trust Security Engineer to support enterprise security initiatives by translating Zero Trust requirements into firewall rule implementations. This role is execution-focused and serves as the primary point of accountability for ensuring firewall and security rules are implemented accurately, validated, and fully auditable across platforms.
Qualifications
Experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
Familiarity with IAM tools (Entra ID, Active Directory, RBAC)
Experience with application onboarding and firewall integration
Knowledge of audit and compliance standards
