Zero-Touch Provisioning / Software Engineer

About the role

GIGATEC is seeking Software Engineers to tackle the most challenging problems in the US Government, particularly in the area of High Performance Computing (HPC).

Responsibilities

• Analyzing requirements
• Designing solutions
• Coding and testing
• Integrating COTS and FOSS products
• Working with cutting-edge systems including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, and data manipulation
• Developing software in Python
• Experience with SQL technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB
• Experience with REST APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Experience with messaging frameworks like Kafka, ActiveMQ, and RabbitMQ
• Experience with tools for metrics visualization like Grafana and Kibana
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
• Familiarity with IaC principles and automation tools like Ansible
• Experience processing big data
• Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite, Jira, and Confluence

Requirements

• Top Secret clearance required
• Counterintelligence and Lifestyle polygraph required
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Two years’ experience as a Software Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Qualifications

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• Scripting experience with Bash/Python
• Experience with SQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB
• Experience with designing, implementing, and consuming REST APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with Git Version Control System
