Program Description
Beacons operate year-round on non-school hours, weekdays, evenings, weekends and in the summer as a resource to the entire community by offering integrated programming tailored to local needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with a group of co-ed children (grades K-8).
- Divide children into groups by grade for morning academic enhancement.
- In the afternoon, involve children in reading enrichment, project-based learning, group games, social-emotional competencies, and field trips.
- Engage with campers in all their daily activities.
- Work collaboratively with Group Work practice to provide a positive and creative environment for the social and intellectual development of all participants.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children and adolescents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
- Pass a background check.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents.
Skills

Schedule
- Monday to Friday, June 22, 2026, through August 14, 2026.
- Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm.
- Total hours: 35-40 hours per week.
