The Youth Therapist contributes to AHF by leveraging a therapy and counseling background with experience in crisis intervention. This role enhances AHF’s reputation by providing one-on-one counseling and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth and their families, while serving as a passionate advocate for key initiatives. The position operates in a dynamic, collaborative environment where adaptability and accountability to multiple leaders are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one counseling and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth and their families.
- Uphold AHF’s Core Values and Mission in all aspects of the role.
- Collaborate with a close-knit team to develop timely and thorough treatment plans.
- Document accurate updates on client progress through case notes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a counseling field.
- Registered intern status (minimum requirement); license preferred.
- Two years of office experience.
- Proficiency with computers.
