Youth Therapist

About the role

The Youth Therapist contributes to AHF by leveraging a therapy and counseling background with experience in crisis intervention. This role enhances AHF’s reputation by providing one-on-one counseling and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth and their families, while serving as a passionate advocate for key initiatives. The position operates in a dynamic, collaborative environment where adaptability and accountability to multiple leaders are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling and crisis intervention for LGBTQ youth and their families.
• Uphold AHF’s Core Values and Mission in all aspects of the role.
• Collaborate with a close-knit team to develop timely and thorough treatment plans.
• Document accurate updates on client progress through case notes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a counseling field.
• Registered intern status (minimum requirement); license preferred.
• Two years of office experience.
• Proficiency with computers.
