About the role
This is a weekend only position.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and support volunteer coaches during practices and game days.
- Teach Baseball fundamentals through age-appropriate instruction and demonstrations.
- Promote i9 Sports core values, including sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
- Help oversee Baseball operations to ensure games run safely and on schedule.
- Build positive relationships with players, parents, coaches, and fellow staff.
- Aid in officiating games when needed.
- Set up and break down fields and equipment before and after each event.
- Maintain a fun, energetic, and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Baseball rules, skills, and game play.
- Previous coaching, playing, or officiating experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, energetic, and dependable with a passion for working with children.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt during game-day situations.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships with families and coaches.
- Available to work weekends throughout each season (approximately 7 weeks).
- Ability to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
