About the role
Join Samaritas Nation as a Youth Specialist to provide direct supervision and support to refugee youth in a residential setting.
Responsibilities
- Create a family-like environment that models positive behaviors and expectations.
- Assist youth with daily routines such as meal prep, medication administration, skill-building, and activities.
- Provide safe transportation to appointments and monitor overnight activity.
- Be a trusted mentor and advocate for youth navigating trauma, displacement, and cultural adjustment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to learn de-escalation techniques and become CPR/First Aid certified.
- Direct care experience in mental health or working with vulnerable populations preferred.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and meet vaccine requirements.
