Youth Soccer Travel and Recreation Coach

Responsibilities

• Interact with parents, directors, club board members, and children daily
• Deliver energetic and enjoyable coaching sessions in line with Soccer Stars progressive curriculum
• Report directly to the territory manager on all aspects of roles, responsibilities, and expectations related to coaching
• Engage and challenge all players, helping them achieve development goals and milestones, and inspiring a love of soccer in a fun, team-based environment
• Communicate effectively with the leadership team and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset
• Show up on time and be punctual for all training sessions and games, allowing enough time for commuting to locations
• Provide hands-on individual and group attention to players in both training sessions and during game day coaching

Requirements

• Own reliable transportation and willing to travel up to 45-minutes one-way to get to locations
• Be fully vaccinated upon commencing employment, subject to legally required exemptions
• Punctual, willing to learn, and able to accept feedback
• Have a clear passion and love of the game of soccer
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Experience in or strong desire to work in a club team environment
• Prior experience working with children is preferred
• Motivated, energetic, patient, and attentive
• Experience coaching in youth soccer
• Prior experience in coaching travel soccer is desirable
• Able to coach game day on weekends
• Minimum of a grassroots coaching license
• Available to work between weekday afternoons (3 pm - 8 pm) and Saturday mornings (9 am - 1 pm)
