Youth Soccer Instructor Part Time

About the role

Soccer Shots is seeking passionate, energetic, and fun-loving youth soccer instructors to work with children aged 2 to 8 in the Southeastern Connecticut area (Old Lyme, East Lyme, Waterford, New London, Groton, Mystic, Stonington, Norwich).

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 2 to 8 in various settings including daycares, preschools, community centers, and parks.
• Coach sessions Monday through Sunday across four seasons: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.
• Ensure punctuality and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Communicate effectively with the Soccer Shots director of coaching.
• Manage a group of up to 10 children and interact with them in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
• Be familiar with basic soccer skills and be able to engage children at their level.
• Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Own and have daily access to a computer, printer, and internet.
• Be available on Saturday and/or Sunday mornings between 8:30am - 12:00pm.

Requirements

• Responsible: Arrive on time, manage a group of 10 or more children, keep accurate attendance, communicate well with the director of coaching.
• Professional: Maintain neat appearance, be friendly and courteous with daycare center staff and parents, and be self-assured.
• Enthusiastic: Enjoy working with young children, be able to connect with them on their level, and make the Soccer Shots class a highlight of their week.
• Soccer Experience: While not required, familiarity with the game is beneficial.
• Transportation: Own and have daily access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Equipment: Own and have daily access to a computer, printer, and internet.

Qualifications

• Available to work on Saturdays and Sundays between 8:30am - 12:00pm.

Skills

Benefits

$17.00 - $25.00 per hour.
