Responsibilities

  • Mandatory: Must have at least 3 mornings (9am-12pm) or 3 afternoons (1pm-4pm) available to coach.
  • Responsible: Arrive on time to each session, handle a group of 10 or more children, keep accurate attendance, communicate well with the Soccer Shots director of coaching.
  • Professional: Maintain neat appearance, be friendly and courteous with daycare center staff and directors, and parents.
  • Enthusiastic: Enjoy interacting with young children (2 – 8 years old), able to connect with them on their level, and be very outgoing and animated.
  • Soccer: Experience preferred, but familiarity with the game is acceptable.
  • Working with children: Able to engage and interact with 2-8 year olds, and have experience doing so.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to drive up to 20 minutes one way on occasion.
  • Willingness to drive to Columbia, SC for training purposes and occasional mandatory meetings.

Requirements

  • Pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.

Qualifications

  • Responsible: Arrive on time to each session, can handle a group of 10 or more children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with Soccer Shots director of coaching.
  • Professional: Neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day care center staff and director as well as parents, self-assured.
  • Enthusiastic: Must enjoy interacting with young children (2 – 8 years old), and be able to connect with them on their level, making the Soccer Shots class the best 30-35 minutes of their week. You must be very outgoing and animated; able to be silly with the children.

    • Skills

    • Soccer experience is preferred, however, if you are great with children and have some familiarity with the game, that would work.

    Pay

    $15/session

    Schedule

    Monday through Friday, with some Public Programs in the evenings. There is some flexibility in scheduling; however, once your schedule is set with us, it won’t change. You’ll be at the same locations at the same times each week, and we need you to be committed for the entire season.
