Youth Soccer Coach

About the role

We are hiring energetic, fun-loving Soccer Coaches to lead children in engaging, educational soccer activities while ensuring a safe and positive environment. This role is ideal for individuals interested in early childhood education or child development, offering flexible hours and competitive pay.

Coaches earn $20–$25 per hour, with the opportunity to work 5–25 classes per week. Our approach emphasizes individual attention, positive reinforcement, and a stress-free atmosphere to help every child succeed.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assist in energetic, motivating classes, connecting with and challenging each child to achieve motor development and skill goals while fostering a love of movement and healthy habits.
• Provide individual and group attention to children in a fun, structured environment.
• Arrive on time, physically and mentally prepared for each class, adapting to the needs of children across all age groups.
• Assist with equipment distribution and upkeep as needed.
• Support hiring efforts by sourcing and screening potential candidates.
• Manage the ordering, printing, and distribution of marketing materials (flyers, posters, signage).
• Record classes for coach development and feedback purposes.

Requirements

• Able and willing to travel throughout Putnam County, NY, and Rockland County, NY (up to an hour per location).
• Availability during weekday mornings (9 AM–12 PM), afternoons (12 PM–3 PM), and/or early evenings (3 PM–6 PM), as well as weekends.
• Prior experience working with children (preferred backgrounds include sports coaching, teaching, or camp leadership).
• Soccer playing experience is a plus.
• Must be fun, energetic, patient, attentive, and punctual.

Schedule

The majority of classes are held during after-school hours and on weekends. Ideal availability includes:

• Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Weekends: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

Location

Classes are held at schools, parks, and recreational centers across Putnam County, NY, and Rockland County, NY. Coaches must be willing to travel up to an hour to reach class locations.
