Youth Soccer Coach

About the role

Soccer Shots The Woodlands/Spring is hiring part-time instructors to serve children ages 2-8 in daycares, preschools, and public parks across the North Houston area. Programs are year-round Monday through Saturday, with sessions generally between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM weekdays and 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Saturdays. Flexible schedules are available from 5 hours per week to 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Engage and inspire children aged 2-8 through soccer coaching and character development activities.
• Communicate effectively with Soccer Shots leadership and other coaching staff.
• Manage a group of 10 or more children, maintaining professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
• Ensure punctuality and complete administrative tasks satisfactorily.
• Enjoy working with young children and fostering their growth and development.
• Drive to assigned sites with a safe and reliable vehicle.

Requirements

• Experience working with children is necessary; soccer playing experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age and/or have received a high school diploma.
• Caring, patient, and understanding of children, with a passion for children, sports, and character development.
• Organized, able to arrive on time to each session, and capable of managing a group of children.
• Responsible, maintaining professionalism in appearance and courteous behavior towards day care center staff and parents.
• Enthusiastic, enjoying interacting with young children and connecting with them on their level.
• Reliable transportation with a safe and reliable car, valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
• Be CPR and first aid certified (or willing to get certified).

Skills

• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children.
• Ability to manage a group of children effectively.
• Effective communication skills.
• Flexibility in scheduling.

$96.00 - $160.00 per day

Schedule
