About the role
Park Slope United (PSU) is a leading youth soccer club in Brooklyn, serving over 3000 players. Built on core principles of community, integrity, and excellence, we give players a great start in their engagement with the game of soccer through our beginner classes and intermediate leagues. We push players to become the best they can be while keeping it fun and creating a welcoming atmosphere for both players and their parents. PSU has graduated many players and coaches to Brooklyn United Academy, the elite travel program with which we are affiliated.
We are actively seeking committed, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable candidates to work within our classes and leagues. Successful candidates will teach fundamental skills to children while emphasizing development, teamwork, and fun. They will lead training sessions and games with 2-12 year olds, following our curriculum and focusing on the holistic development of each individual player within their team.
Responsibilities
- Lead training sessions and games for children aged 2-12
- Teach fundamental soccer skills while emphasizing development, teamwork, and fun
- Follow PSU’s curriculum and focus on the holistic development of each player
- Communicate effectively with children and parents
Requirements
- Experience working with children
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents
