About the role

Be a part of setting a new standard for residential care for generations to come. Successful candidates will have a once-in-a-career opportunity to be part of the opening of our new Residential Center for Healing and Resilience, a 64-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) for youth at our beautiful 258-acre Hands of Promise Campus in Idaho’s Treasure Valley.

As a Youth Residential Nurse, you will be directly involved in nurturing hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho as part of a direct care team advancing leading practices in trauma-informed, youth-guided, and family-driven behavioral health practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring visits
• Conduct nursing and health assessments upon admission and on a weekly basis for each youth
• Oversee and execute medication administration, including observation of psychiatry protocols
• Triage emergency or urgent situations; administer emergency or first aid care
• Triage clients to determine the appropriate level of care necessary for the health and safety of the clients

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Idaho
• Valid, state-issued driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 15 days of hire as a condition of continued employment
• Knowledge of computer and EHR systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting

Schedule

This position works a 4/10 schedule: four 10-hour shifts from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
