Youth Residential Nurse - NOC

About the role

The Idaho Youth Ranch is seeking a Youth Residential Nurse to join our dedicated team. You will be directly involved in nurturing the hope, healing, and resilience of Idaho's youth as part of a direct care team advancing leading practices in trauma-informed, youth-guided, and family-driven behavioral health.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor patients' progress and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper timing and dosage.
• Triage and manage emergency or urgent situations, providing immediate care as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training related to behavioral health and trauma-informed care.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Idaho
• Valid, state-issued driver’s license or obtain one within 15 days of hire
• Knowledge of computer and EHR systems
• One year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
