About the role

Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston is a life-changing force for opportunity and empowerment, enabling young people to reach their full potential as productive citizens and leaders, inspired to make a difference in the Greater Boston community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Aid members with homework.
  • Manage supervision and discipline of members participating in program sessions.
  • Participate in collaborative programs and events as appropriate.
  • Secure and maintain materials, equipment and other resources belonging to the program area(s).
  • Maintain cleanliness of program area(s).
  • Participate in individual and group supervision sessions.
  • Perform other related duties as specified by the Club Director.

Qualifications

  • A high school degree is required; some college education is preferred.
  • Previous experience providing classes/programs/activities for youth is preferred.
  • Curriculum development experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of youth development principles is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • The ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds is required.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.
