Youth Peer Support

What You’ll Do

• Support youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, substance use, or developmental challenges.
• Help youth build life and coping skills, set goals, and navigate services independently.
• Share your personal story of recovery (as appropriate) to provide hope and connection.
• Encourage youth to take an active role in their treatment and transition into adulthood.
• Connect youth with community resources, peer groups, and support networks.
• Serve as an advocate and mentor to help youth voice their needs and overcome barriers.
• Accurately and promptly document services provided.

What We’re Looking For

• Lived experience with challenges such as mental health, substance use, foster care, juvenile justice involvement, or special education.
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Good organizational and time management skills.
