Responsibilities
- Maintain a daily devotional and prayer life
- Weekly participation in Corps Worship Services
- Work in unity with the Corps Officers, YPSM, and Social Services Coordinator to ensure programming excellence in all aspects of our youth ministries.
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with all persons in accordance with the practices and policies of the Salvation Army.
- Cookordination and implementation of the evangelism, discipleship and leadership development of the young people involved in corps programs including opportunities for new ministry initiatives.
- Plan and implement recruitment, leadership development & training opportunities to increase the quality and effectiveness of volunteer staff.
- Regular contact and visitation of those that participate in youth activities and their families.
- Provide leadership and support for youth Sunday School classes, Corps cadets, and youth bible study ministries.
- Provide Leadership and support as needed for youth activities such as Junior soldiers, Corps cadets, Bible Bowl, Music programs, VBS, Level UP! Programs, and more.
- Recruit, coordinate, and transport kids attending programs, camp, Youth Councils, young adult gatherings & divisional events.
- Maintain all records of attendance & statistics for all programing as required.
- Maintain youth programming throughout the program year as directed by the Corps officers.
- Attend all necessary training opportunities as required.
- Assist with Christmas ministries programs.
Requirements
- Strong personal Christian values and high moral character.
- Strong Organizational skills.
- Ability to be a team member and function in a work situation to complete tasks.
- Intermediate level computer skills.
- Valid Drivers License and able to drive a 12 passenger van.
- A uniform wearing Salvationist preferred.
- Musical ability preferred but not required.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

- Must complete all necessary KeepSafe courses.
- Must remain and keep confidentiality.
