About the Role

Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Students complete an entire day's worth of academics in roughly two hours using adaptive technology. No traditional lectures. No physical textbooks. Your role covers what technology cannot replicate: mentoring students from Pre-K through 8th grade in essential life competencies such as public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange.

You'll spend half your time facilitating interactive workshops guided by structured frameworks and narrative techniques. The remaining time is dedicated to individual and small-group sessions where you examine student progress through Coachbot analytics in adaptive learning platforms and drive them toward achieving 100% of weekly objectives. Students demonstrate competency through Test2Pass evaluations rather than participation-based grades.

This position is highly selective. During your first year, you'll become proficient in the established methodology: workshops, motivational coaching, competency assessments, and consistently holding every student accountable to 100% goal completion. Excel in these areas and advancement to Lead Guide becomes accessible. You must bring warmth, strong presence, and uncompromising standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hour-long life competency workshops covering public speaking, concentration, teamwork, and feedback skills, adjusting your delivery style and intensity for Pre-K through 8th grade students.
• Conducting daily individual and small-group coaching sessions to examine student progress in adaptive learning platforms (via Coachbot analytics), establish objectives, and drive students toward 100% weekly goal attainment.
• Overseeing and assessing Test2Pass evaluations to verify genuine mastery of each life skill rather than mere attendance.
• Implementing focused interventions when students lag academically or in participation—diagnosing underlying issues and creating targeted improvement strategies.
• Cultivating authentic connections with every student to establish the trust necessary for effective coaching through challenges, distractions, and confidence obstacles.
• Guarantee that every student in your assigned cohort develops a love for learning, achieves mastery in critical life skills, and completes 100% of their academic objectives through adaptive learning technology.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Providing lectures or conventional academic teaching (core subjects are learned through adaptive platforms, not direct instruction from you).
• Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum independently (Alpha supplies structured life skills frameworks; your responsibility is to execute them with enthusiasm and storytelling).
• Handling parent communications or administrative school functions (Campus Leads manage these areas; you concentrate on student development).
• Evaluating homework assignments or preparing students for standardized examinations (these elements don't exist in this model).
• Operating independently (you collaborate with a campus team including Lead Guides, Campus Leads, and colleagues who exchange feedback and maintain mutual accountability).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with students in Pre-K–8 range (in teaching, coaching, counseling, or youth program leadership capacities).
• Demonstrated experience coaching or motivating Pre-K–8 students toward academic, behavioral, athletic, or extracurricular objectives, with at least one concrete example you can articulate (including the objective, your specific actions, and the result achieved).
• Willingness to embrace a mentoring-focused model where academic content delivery is managed exclusively by the learning platform. Your function is motivation and guidance, not subject matter instruction.
• Regular use of generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) in your daily work.
• Availability to work on-site at Alpha's Springfield, MA location (relocation assistance provided).
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Background in youth sports coaching, camp direction, or after-school programming where you held direct accountability for motivating children toward defined objectives.
• History of significant personal accomplishment (academic distinctions, competitive sports achievement, or leadership positions demanding consistent excellence).
• Innate storytelling capability: you can maintain Pre-K–8 students' engagement for an hour without volume escalation.
• Proven success connecting with disengaged or reluctant students and transforming them into engaged learners.
• Experience supporting students who receive special education services.

$100,000 annual salary paid weekly.
